Look I am as big a fan of MON as you are. Let’s go back to lunch time. My point was it is not a God given right for Celtic to win or even come second in Scotland. Fail to prepare prepare to fail. We did not prepare properly for this season and people are entitled to their POV in the media without turning it into a conspiracy against us. We both have different POV so let’s leave it at that.
I’ve never felt that we had a god given right to win any game of football regardless of spending or who the opposition is.
On any given day anything can happen in football.
My point is Brendan was overhyped and overrated at Celtic at a time where he had plenty backing and there was little competition in Scotland.
In Europe he did not deliver.
In fact when you look at his record in Europe he’s never delivered any modicum of success.
The others have.
I have no time for BR myself but we were in as good a place with him as manager as we had been since MON. He provided us with 2 and half years of success. Even Guardiola has failed in Europe since leaving Barcelona. The budgets and players he has had at bayern and City and he tinkers for no reason. Maybe he was in right place at right time with Messi and co. We will probably end up finishing second but having JK in charge for our troubles. One thing about BR he is consistent blowing a top 4 finish in epl two years in a row but Leicester are now regarded as a top 6 club with bigger clubs below them. When they won the league all the usual suspects were awful that season and whenever do you see 5000/1 runners being successful !!
its easy to be in a good place when there is no competition and your king of the castle but its a poor show when you quickly disappear as soon as you are under some domestic pressure.
