One of the benefits of writing and talking about Celtic for 67 Hail Hail is that you can’t help but have your finger on the pulse of what many fans are thinking at all times. We get all sorts of feedback on what people think about Celtic here – e-mails, YouTube comments, tweets and sometimes…

I think our more recent games against TRIFC 2012 have shown us where we were lacking at the start of the season to now looking a bit more settled on the field.

Our 3-0 home win at the turn of the year was well merited as we done our homework pressing our Glasgow rivals and not letting them play. Our midfield supported our attack well and in that game, big GG made his presence known.

We moved onto our most recent league meeting with them at theirs and we got the result we wanted. Our midfield worked hard in creating and scoring for us, but again big GG was a hassle for them.

Reflecting on our Scottish cup exit, in extra time as well, I think our game plan came unstuck. Our midfield could not create and our wingers were not tracking back enough to keep us on at them. Eventually they wore us down and got to the way they like playing, wing backs getting into attacking positions and one from the right, one from the left, had two effective cross balls that killed us.

Our unbeaten run is proof enough we are moving in a better direction. I hope our most recent result motivates the team to realise we can’t just turn up expecting to win games because of previous. Teams do swat up and some (rather than parking the bus) set up a game plan to shut us down. There is work to be done but good management of the squad and a team bursting to overrun TRIFC 2012 on May 1st should definitely see our league title return home comfortably :four_leaf_clover:
