Every time I watch Greg Taylor play for Celtic, my frustration grows.
He only seems to know one kind of pass, and that’s backwards.
In the Brugge game he contributed very little in my opinion.
I can’t for the life of me see why he’s a nailed on starter.
Valle and Bernardo are two players that should be starting, especially the latter.
The contribution they made when they came on was phenomenal.
These are two gifted players that need more game time in my opinion.
As for the blunder made by CCV, mistakes happen, but he has been immense for Celtic, The team just doesn’t feel the same without him; I’m aware that his mistake has left him feeling dejected, gutted even, but I’m sure the Celtic family will forgive him.
I certainly do, mistakes happen in life, and we just accept them and move on.
I reckon Taylor is still not 100% yet but to get there he needs minutes on the park. When he’s fully up to speed, I think he plays the inverted full back really well and keeps it calm at the back.
Valle has come in and done well so yes, does merit more starts too.
A good team has quality players through out the squad all ready to go and maintain the club’s standards. We’re starting to get that, which is a real positive.
It seems to be the same with Bernardo in the middle of the park. Engels still needs minutes to be able to click for us which does Bernardo and even Luke McCowan no favours.
No disrespect to Ross County, especially after a tiring European midweek for us, but these are the games/teams that can see the squad being flexed against.
For consistency factors too, I can’t see Rodgers changing all too much from midweek?
I’d say perhaps Valle, Scales and Bernardo may come in this weekend but no matter what the team selection is, 3 comfortable points is the desired outcome all up.
I still rate Taylor. I think he’s proven himself consistently and showed another big moment last night vs Aberdeen.
Still has a lot to offer, IMO.
