It appears that the big guns in the EPL are circling around one player, and that player is Matt O’Riley.
According to the media, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle, Leicester city, are all looking to sign him before this window closes, with 15 -20 million being touted as the price that Celtic would find hard to turn down.
The truth of the matter is, we don’t have to sell him, we don’t need to sell him.
It’s important that we hold on to our big player’s right now with the big games coming up in the UCL, also to maintain our position on the top of the league.
Anyway, 15-20 million is nowhere near enough in my opinion.
We need to get tough when it comes to English teams who try to buy our best talent on the cheap.
If at the end of the day a ridiculous offer of about 30-35 million comes in, then Celtic might well buckle, but until that happens we must stand firm and tell them to bugger off.
