What’s the point of the SFA meeting to discuss possible mistakes being made if those mistakes can’t be overturned?
They just met and discovered 4 mistakes had been made.
2 incorrect decisions in the St Mirren v dundee United game, 1 mistake in the Rangers v St Johnstone game, and 1 mistake in the Aberdeen v Celtic game.
It’s all very well meeting to discuss these errors, but if nothing is done about them, what’s the point.
Complete waste of time if you ask me.
Totally agree.
Time travel is yet to be established so reading over past flaws only add stats.
Without punishing the refs and officials for their incompetencies, there is no real point.
By punishing these guys too puts things on a knife edge too. Every game needs refs and they do us the respect of turning up.
Unless refereeing salaries were worth working for, no ref would put up with lateral punishment, they’d just quit. Therefore blue tinted glasses will still be allowed in our game, trying to get our newest Glasgow rivals as many benefits as possible.
Exactly my point, JeemoBhoy.
But they should have the power at these meeting to overturn a decision retrospectively, such as Shinnie receiving the red card that he should have received during the game.
Otherwise, what’s the point.
It only serves to give a few fuddy duddys the opportunity to sit round a table, chew the fat and knock back a few pints of old speckled hen and munch on a bag of smokey bacon crisps.
