First of all, you have Martin O’Neil saying that Hearts are on course to win the league and then we learn that he is going to be our interim Manager accompanied by Shaun Maloney.
There is no way he would have made that statement had he known what was about to transpire.
But the main story is Brendan Rogers resigning, what happened to the 200% I wont walk away?
From my point of view, I think BR leaving is a good thing for Celtic because I think he lost the dressing room and the Board with that Honda civic/Ferrari comment, what was he thinking about coming out with that inexplicable statement?
Also his team selections in the last few games were baffling to say the least.
Did Dermot Desmond really have to come out with that eviscerating 556 word character assassination of BR?
The statement smacks of a knee-jerk response to a serious falling out which Dermot Desmond might come to regret in the coming days and weeks.
Who is to blame for Celtic’s decline in form?, BR, the board, or a mix of both, I think all will be revealed in the coming days?
We all await a statement from BR with baited breath, which I’m sure he will make sooner rather than later, because I can’t see him letting DD get away with that character assassination statement, which quite frankly is unprecedented in world football.
Will Ange Postegoglou come back to Celtic, I hope so, but has he had enough of management for the time being? considering his last two appointment didn’t work out for him , and he might be feeling a bit bruised and battered at the moment.
When the news broke I must admit that I was shocked but not surprised.
With an experienced Management team filling in, Celtic can take their time in appointing a permanent Manager, they need to take their time and make sure that the new Manager is the right choice, with the sort of experience needed to come to a massive club like Celtic, not only for the club but also for the fans, because the fans need to be happy with the choice as well as the club, and also make sure that ample funds are available for the new Manager, or the interim Manager in the January transfer window.
